HOUSE AGGELIKI is situated at the mountainous village Kissos, at an altitude of 630m. It is 33km away from Rethymno and 6km from Spili, the biggest village of the area. Fully refurbished house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and dinner area, and upon request, it can host up to ten people in two extra bedrooms with extra toilet. Is is equipped with private Jacuzzi, BBQ, Flat-TV screens in every room and offers lots of our daily comforts.
Kissos Village in Rethymno
Kissos is 33km from Rethymnon and 6km from the seat of the municipality of Agios Vassiliou, Spili. The village is believed to have been established before the 10th century. Visitors can enjoy the coolness of the eternal plane tree in the village square and enjoy swimming at the beautiful beaches of the Libyan Sea. It is located 10 minutes from Spili, where you can get your daily needs. In the square of Kissos you will find the cafe “Allou Pothes”, where you can enjoy your food and your coffee, under the plane tree. The village has 3 Byzantine churches while near the village, is the historical monastery of the Holy Spirit. Also, with an area of approximately 600 square meters, the village is home to the Vatolakous forest and the Gious Kampos plateau where the world’s only tulip grows.
The famous beaches of the south side of the prefecture of Rethymnon are about 30 minutes from Kissos, giving you the opportunity to explore them without spending too much time driving each time. The closest of these are: Triopetra, Mikri Triopetra, Agios Pavlos, Ligres, Ammoudi, Damnoni, Plakias, Souda and also the beach of Prevelis with its palm forest. The best way to move around the area, is by car.
